VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT IN LAXMI BANK LIMITED



Laxmi Bank Ltd. was incorporated in April 2002 as the 16th commercial bank in Nepal. In 2004 Laxmi Bank merged with HISEF Finance Limited, a first generation financial company which was the first merger in Nepali corporate history. Further, the bank acquired Professional Diyalo Bikas Bank in January 2017, a class “B” development bank.

Today, through its branches and a host of IT enabled channels, the Bank serves a wide range of customers. Despite a relatively short history, Laxmi Bank has emerged as a major player across all business lines – retail, midmarket, corporate, infrastructure and treasury. The Bank is widely recognized as one of the best-managed banks in Nepal with high standards of corporate governance culture, risk-management systems and a strong technology.

Laxmi Bank’s microfinance subsidiary – Laxmi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd, a category D financial institution licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank is in operation since 2012.

Similarly, Laxmi Bank’s investment banking subsidiary – Laxmi Capital Market Ltd, licensed by the Securities Board of Nepali’s offering various merchant and investment banking services since February 2009. Laxmi Capital also manages Laxmi Value Fund – 1 and Laxmi Equity Fund, the two Mutual Funds sponsored by Laxmi Bank, both of which are listed and traded at the Nepal Stock Exchange.

The Bank closed the previous financial year 2018/19 with a balance sheet size of NPR 102 billion that includes deposits and risk assets of NPR 86.87 billion and NPR 78.46 billion respectively. All key financial indicators of the Bank are well within prudential and regulatory norms.

Position: Relationship Manager
The Assistant Relationship Manager will be responsible to build up and direct the Bank’s retail banking portfolio independently as well as under the guidance of the Branch Manager by establishing strategies and plans. The incumbent should ensure share of the market by identifying prospective customers and profitability of products and services. The candidate should have at least a Bachelor degree in business administration or equivalent from a recognized university and should have minimum 1 year of experience in relationship management of retail loan clients. Age should not exceed 30 years as on 15 July 2020. Qualified local candidates will be preferred

Position: Teller Services Officer
The Teller Services Officer is primarily responsible to ensure all counter transactions are processed accurately and swiftly and in accordance with the laid down procedures. Managing customer expectation for each interaction and ensuring adherence to basic service standards, the incumbent will ensure effective risk management and regulatory compliance for the Teller functions and be vigilant & alert of any possible frauds and risks. The candidate should have at least a Bachelor degree in business administration or equivalent from a recognized university and should have at least 2 years of relevant experience in branch operations or Cash and Remittance unit at a commercial bank with the current grade of a Senior Assistant or above. Age should not exceed 30 years as on 15 July 2020. Qualified local candidates will be preferred.

Position: Branch Manager
The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a branch office, including operations, lending, product sales, customer service, and security and safety in accordance with the Bank’s strategic goals. The candidate should have at least a Bachelor degree in business administration or equivalent from a recognized university and should have at least 4 years of relevant experience in banking including at least 1 year in supervisory role. The current grade of the applicant should be a Supervisor or above. Age should not exceed 32 years as on 15 July 2020.Qualified local candidates will be preferred.
